The autumn Gaddi Promotion Ceremony has been postponed for the fourth time this year, following confirmation that the Darbar remains unable to seat the nineteen candidates due for elevation.
Article 009 requires the Darbar to maintain a strategic reserve of ceremonial cushions sufficient for one more person than is expected. The reserve has not met this standard since Year 3, a situation the Ministry describes as "under active review".
“A promotion without a cushion is merely an announcement. We are not an institution that makes announcements.”
Contributors wishing to assist may pledge ceremonial cushions through the Nazarana portal, where they are recorded at eighteen Bakra Points each. The Ministry notes that cushions pledged to date have all been imaginary, which has not helped.
