Responding to mounting concern over the proliferation of committees within the Darbar, the Ministry of Unnecessary Committees has announced the formation of a Special Committee on Committee Formation, with a remit to examine why so many committees are being formed.
The Special Committee held its inaugural sitting on Thursday and, after deliberation, constituted three subcommittees: one to gather evidence, one to review the evidence gathered, and one to determine whether the first two were necessary.
“Some have suggested the solution is fewer committees. That proposal has been referred to a committee, where it will receive the attention it deserves.”
The Darbar's active committee count now stands at approximately 489, a figure officials describe as coincidental and auspicious. The Ministry has confirmed that a committee will be formed to verify it.
